Steve Farrell

Stephen J. Farrell was born December 26, 1863, in Rockville, Connecticut. He ran for the Natick Hook and Ladder team with the other "Natick Immortals." He would run professionally in the U.S. and England and became well known for winning man "Man v. Horse" races with the Barnum and Baily Circus.
Farrell went into athletic training after an injury ended his running career. He assisted Mike Murphy at Yale in 1903 and 1904. He then
went to the University of Maine as the athletic trainer, track coach
